WINTER STAPLES

Hey there, hope you are well. Winter is upon us again hence this post. In the winter season, I for one mostly care about my warmth, I do not even want to feel any form of cold breeze on my skin. Then again, who said you cant be a bit stylish and keep warm at the same time?

So today I have put together some winter staples and must have winter coats to keep you warm and stylish at the same time. You do not necessarily have to have all items, I mean it all depends on your schedule (i.e are you a student, in the corporate world, event/party world etc) and of cause money in your pocket lol.

Here are important coats to have in your closet. I will also be including extra items that are needed in this winter season.

1.  PUFFER JACKET

This is definitely a must have jacket. It just keeps you so warm and it has enough space for a thick clothing like a sweater/jumper underneath and a scarf for extra warmth. You can easily just wear a t-shirt and throw this on and you will still be warm.

For a more stylish look, I tend to be more gravitated towards bright coloured puffer jackets. I know people tend to run away from bright colours but the thing is with jackets like this, you do not really need to match with what you are wearing underneath. Winter already gives off a gloomy vibe and wearing a big puffer jacket like this just makes you feel like you should just be in bed all day. Throw in some colour in for a more awake and fresh look lol.

You definitely can choose between a longline jacket or just a short one. You can also style a black coat by wearing a bright scarf, still brings in the awake look. Every store stock up on these jackets so you can just check any that suits your pocket lol because some of them can get really pricey.

2. STRUCTURED COAT

Structured coats are almost like a must have. Those days you want to wear something sexy or if you are in the corporate world, you wouldn't want to mess up your whole look by putting on a puffer jacket when you can carry on the theme of your outfit and put on a structured masculine coat or just a dressy jacket.

Its so chic but still keeps you warm all at the same time. You can boost your warmth by throwing on a nice scarf while still maintaining the theme. I personally would still love to go for coloured coats but to keep it classy, neutral colours does it best because its not so picky with regards to pairing with the colours of your outfit. So colours like black, grey, brown and even white for a more sophisticated look will do just fine.

Structured coats can be found in any store and yes they do get a bit pricey. I find that the coats that are thick and warm are more pricey than the normal ones. Basically go for whatever you deem its affordable for you. These coats definitely makes you look really put together without even trying.

Plaids are a huge trend this season and I am in so much love with the earthy tones. The plaid design just really uplifts the look from a boring one coloured outfit to a retro stylish outfit.

3. LEATHER/BIKER JACKET

Leather jackets or biker jackets are for those days that aren't so cold, the early winter days. It gives such an easy look but still very chic. You can definitely style up by throwing on a colourful scarf. (All images are gotten from google images)

4. TEDDY COAT

In as much as this isn't a must have, it is definitely a huge trend this winter season. Its almost like if you do not have a teddy coat, then you don't have a coat. I must say its absolutely gorgeous especially coming from someone that was never a fan of the fabric material. I am in love because it gives off such a classy and expensive look.

The coats come in different colours and as usual brown colour is now known as the bloggers colour and white just gives off the very expensive look as always. If you have a few coins to spare, i think this is a great buy and oh its very warm and allows for layering. Its one of those jackets that can be worn on any outfit and still look really put together. It can be worn to any occasion so it is definitely a staple.

5. BOMBER JACKET

Bomber jackets are also for the not so cold days. They give off a more casual and laid back look. Feel free to layer, put on a hoodie and throw this jacket on and you are good to go. They are also more affordable.

6. COLOURED SCARVES

Scarves really add spice to an outfit asides from keeping you warm. I am more interested in the blanket scarf because you could wear it in different ways and still look very stylish and chic. Coloured scarves bring some form of radiance despite the gloomy weather.

6. HEAD WARMER (BEANIE)

Whenever you feel cold, its really important to cover your head and extremities. You can also make your head warmer look cute by coordinating colours to match just for an extra stylish appearance.

The Baker boy hat is another trend that has come to stay. Fashion is just amazing, it just keeps revolving. This is also another stylish hat that keeps your head protected from the cold as well as adds some extra oomph to your outfit giving off the retro look.

Extra winter must haves include:

  • A pair of boots: Could be thigh high boots or just normal ankle boots. Be sure to get the proper boots for the snow to prevent you from slipping off and save the fashion boots for special occasions and outings.
  • Gloves: Helps in keeping your hands protected and warm.
  • Ear muffs: Usually, in winter season, the cold definitely affects the ears and this can be really painful. The ear muffs really help in protecting your ears from the cold.
  • Of cus never forget to purchase jumpers and knitwear and easily layer and style as you please for nice yet warm look.
Hope these were helpful in guiding you to shop for the winter season. Be sure to look for bargains, shops usually give some discounts from time to time so stay locked on online stores. Also I find that I love to try my coats before purchasing them so it would be much better to buy in person than ordering them online.

Feel free to ask any questions if you have any. I will be uploading a winter lookbook just to show you how to style some of these pieces.
Thank you for your time.

EMBRACE YOUR IMPERFECTIONS

Hello guys, welcome to my blog post and if this is your first time on my page, I humbly welcome you and I hope you always come back :)

There is something I have always wanted to share asides these amazing photos if I do say so myself.
I recently understood the true meaning of loving yourself. Loving yourself doesn't mean you have to be in the best of moods, or perfect mental state before you can appreciate who you are. It doesn't mean you have to be financially stable or have the perfect body.

You could be at your lowest and still be very much happy. Happiness is a feeling that comes from within and I am not by any means trying to say it is very easy to get to that level of being happy regardless of whats going on around you.

Happiness and Peace of mind go hand in hand. For you to have peace of mind/happiness, all you need do is accept yourself as you are, love yourself unconditionally. Christ loves us unconditionally. This means we don't have to be perfect before he can love us. Whichever way we are, he accepts us. Its like a mother loving her child. No matter the condition of her child, she loves her child regardless. If God and your parents can love you this much (the only ones who really matter), why can't you love yourself that much?

There are so many things that bring us to our lowest but I will focus on body image, which most of us struggle with. You have to embrace your size.

In my opinion, if you would love to add or reduce in size, the only way you can do so easily is when you love yourself first, then you can decide on which step to take in making yourself get to where you want to. I find that when you don't accept who you are first, you end up wallowing in sorrow and sink slowly into depression and probably even gain much more weight if that's your problem area. You see that it becomes difficult to achieve your goal this way.

So darlings, whatever size you are, rock it to the fullest. Be confident, that's the best outfit anyone could ever wear. I'm not saying you shouldn't take active steps in losing or gaining weight, I am only saying appreciate yourself much more, love yourself unconditionally and embrace your imperfections. Nobody is perfect. Even the person you consider as perfect is struggling with her imperfections so please never look down on yourself. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Let's talk about these outfits for a bit lol. I received this yellow platform heels from Cipofalva.hu and I knew immediately it would be my spring staple! They are soooo comfortable. They also have a lot of other awesome shoes and accessories so please check them out. They do next day delivery for those in Hungary. Similar shoe here I got the pants from Zara (old), Bag is from Zara (old), Shades from stradivarius . My skirt is from Deluxe Hues, unfortunately, I didn't like the fitting on me but I tried to make it work. (P.S if you know any good tailor here in Hungary, please send me a message), Tshirt is from Bershka Earrings are from Zara.

I hope I was able to inspire someone today. Dress up and Slay :)

YELLOW

Yellow has a way of bringing sunshine and brightness to my life lol and if you watched my haul video, I said this summer has got me feeling all the yellows, mustards, bronze or the rusty gold.
How cool is this casual set from Zara. It is super comfortable and I paired it with these old brown sandals I got from Zara some years ago. You can also rock this look with a nice pair of white sneakers. This bag I won from a giveaway, is absolutely everything. It has a way of transforming this whole look to a more classy look if paired with a nice pair of heels as well.
It is available in other colors too if you would like something less bright. I love how the green leaves and pop of purple flowers complement the look
I hope you enjoyed the sunshine on this post lol and you got some tips into styling.
Thanks for your time and remain Fabulous!

WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE STARTING A BUSINESS

Hello guys, welcome to yet another blog post. Its been so long since I sat down to write and tbh I'm not sure to say I was busy because I could actually create time for this. I was just caught up with so many other things like growing Deluxe Hues, having fun and spending time with family. I am back in school now for the last most stressful lap of medical school, God help me lol.

Today I will be talking about a few things you need to know before starting a business/being an entrepreneur. I started my business almost a year ago and I have learned sooo much. I haven't even been too long in the game but I certainly can feel the weight lol. Here are a few points:

  • You have to have PASSION for whatever it is you want to do. This is the first and most important thing about starting a business or being an entrepreneur. Passion is the only thing that will sustain you in the business world and the only drive to do more regardless of whatever goes wrong. As we go on, you will get to understand why this is really important.
  • Being an entrepreneur is never as rosy as it looks on the outside. When you start a business, you have taken a big step. It means a few people would know about you and what you do. Obviously, business is meant to bring income (money) so no matter the stage you are, be it the early or late stage of your business, you are already considered to be making lots of money which is not necessarily always the case. So if you see someone start a business and it looks like he or she is making money and that's why you would want to start yours, then you are on the wrong path.
  • You will LOOSE a lot of money. It might not be the same for everyone but from my experience, you have to lose money. The business itself is a risk, it may be fruitful and may not. It is a 50:50 thing. In starting a business, you will have to learn somethings on your own that no one else can teach you. You will have to find different tactics in making your business succeed and in the process is where you loose money because everything is trial an error. What works for the other person may not work for you. No one likes to loose money especially when you are not likely to recover it soon enough, that is why you need your Passion to be top notch if you really want to succeed at what you do.
  • You need PATIENCE. You will get annoying customers/clients for sure. Some clients can be very understanding while some can be very rude. This is where self-control and patience come into play. No matter how annoying clients are, you need to give a good customer service. Sometimes, it is not always all about the money, you definitely won't make money all the time. You have to see every client as an opportunity for more clients aka more money :). Just by giving good customer service, you will be surprised at how much your services would be recommended regardless of how expensive or cheap your services are. Establish good working relationships, network and get connected.
  • You will get frustrated. Im speaking from experience o lool. See, there are so many logistics behind setting up a business and just when you think you have gotten a hang of it, something else has to go wrong๐Ÿ˜ค. Trust me frustration at this point is an understatement because you are not just getting the logistics wrong, you are also loosing money in the process๐Ÿ™† and this is where you sit back and question yourself lol, is this business really for me?๐Ÿ˜“ DO NOT GIVE UP! Just keep pushing, it only means you are almost at your breakthrough point, you just need to give it more time and energy. Ask questions from people that have been through your stage, get feedbacks from your clients and most importantly PRAY!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™‡ There is nothing to trivial for him to handle. The moment you feel the heat, just take a step back and breathe, relax and take it one step at a time.
  • Dont be in a hurry to 'blow' lol in Nigerian terms (to blow more or less means to be extremely successful in fame and financially), success is not a days journey. It takes a lot of time, and you need to put in the work for as long as it takes. Tthat's the only way you can appreciate your success. Try to enjoy the process, it would be worth it at the end.
These are just a few of many others. I will also be throwing them in even as im on my journey to success but these are the most important things everyone should know.
Thank you for your time and dont forget nothing is impossible. Keep living your dreams.
